Working out doesn't always workout.

Yesterday I went to the gym for the first time in over a week due to me feeling awful with a cold. I was going to the gym twice a day for awhile but I woke up every morning miserable. I know my limit, 3 days off or else it's so hard to do a step class. I'm talking breathing like Ive been smoking a carton or cigarettes a day for twenty years and I've got a huge puddle of sweat beside me but it wasn't like that this time. I was working it. Although it was a F.I.T. class which stands for 'focused intensive training'. It's like a combu of free weights and step, fun for all :). Then I did pilates and that class has helped with my stretching so much.

During my sickness I rarely picked up the house so My wonderful husband did and he made sure he let me know he did. Let me give you a little insight into what 'cleaning' means to my husband. First he picks up big toys, throws them in a designated basket under the table in the living room, then stuffs anything else under or around the couch, and last but not least, he turns on the robot roomba vacuum. He's a saint. At least in man land he would be considered one.

All about Kris

Kris read my new post and all he could say is after a year you have nothing in here about me?! Ummm no?

I figure no news is good news but here it is. Kris and I are doing wonderful. In September we celebrated our two year wedding anniversary. Honestly there were times where I wasn't so sure I'd see the day but we made it and we've also seemed to clear up any confusions about what the other expected of the other. Although when We first met and moved in together I cooked everything and kept up a lot with the house work but with a tot running behind you dirtying up what you just cleaned it may have turned into a mini war zone at time. Kris, I learned is a avid football fan, meaning he watched every game that had anything to do with his team ranked and that was no acceptable because the house and the baby don't have a pause button...the TV although does, and for good reason. Probably because a wife decided that their Sunday couch potato might have to turn into mashed before she let Sunday pass without getting ANYTHING done, not in mamas house.

For our anniversary Kris bought me roses a card and a cake. I received this cake moments after returning home from the gym. It took all of me no to turn around and head back. Very cute though. I have a serious sweet tooth, maybe a few? If I gave in on all of my cravings I'd be as big a a house, and that'd just be my ass whoosh I could not fit through the door.

Kidding aside, I'm very in love with my wonderful husband and we're a pretty great team. :)

Long time no blog...:(

Good evening. Its been a minute, don't ya think?

I have been very busy, as I'm sure all of you are as well. The first year and a half was...interesting. I discovered a ton about myself and being a mother, turned 21 and have trying to make it to the gym. So far, so good. Lauren is a VERY active little girl. She's growing up so fast. I wish I could just have something that would be able to remember everything about this time in our lives that I could look back on in say, 15 years and it would feel like I was therre again. Oh how I wish there was a baby smell that could reflect how sweet she smells all the time.

At the moment I'm pretty sure I'm not going to have any more children. I've been thinking about how wonderful I had it as a child. I had both of my parents full attention. I never wished I had someone to play with all the time. I was my mothers constant companion. That's what I want Lauren and I to be. Sure, as a kid I had friends but I had my family and that was more then enough for me. When I turned, maybe 12? I got a little rebellious and acted out accordingly but I'm close as ever to my parents. I hope it's like that with Lauren.

Kris' parents are in Rome right now, having a fablous time I assume. It's a work trip for his dad but I'm sure his mom is busy as a bee seeing the sights. His mother is so wonderful. They have been taking quite a few trips lately and every time Kim has brought back a lovely gift or trinket for Lauren. She's always thinking about her as only a grandmother does.

I'm feeling a bit nostalgic right now...I know, groundbreaking! My father told me his uncle Helmut (who is 81) walked from his apartment building to 30 minutes away from his old house before the o.p.p. (ontario provincial police) picked him up per his wife's (Betty) request. It's a pretty long walk. They're not sure if he just forgot where he lives or if he was just still pissed Betty decided to make them move from the house they raised their children and have spent most of their lives in to a two bedroom condo 8 miles away because she was afraid of him and stairs. If the man can walk 7.5 miles in a few hours at 81 years old, stairs don't seem to be a problem. She told me it was getting too much for her to keep up with to clean and they didn't want to replace the roof, which would have only been a $4,000 job according to my dad. I'm sure there are some government programs to have someone help take care of him and the house. It still doesn't make sense to me.
